It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Croydon. We may not be out of October yet but Santa Claus is coming to town already.
Miracle on 34th Street, the popular musical based on the beloved festive film of the same name, is headed for Ashcroft Theatre at Fairfield Halls on Thursday (October 29).
It tells the heart-warming story of Susan, who wishes for a father, and Kris Kringle, a bearded old department store Santa who claims he is the real thing.
The original 1947 movie won three Oscars and is a perennial favourite. It was first adapted for the stage in 1963 and was remade in 1994 starring the late Richard Attenborough.
Tickets cost £21.50 and £23.50 at www.fairfield.co.uk or 020 8688 9291.
