Ballet dancers from Clapham will bring their new shows to Croydon and Wimbledon in November.
The London Russian Ballet School, which is enjoying a growing reputation, will perform two new shows at Fairfield Halls on Wednesday, November 11, and New Wimbledon Theatre on Tuesday, November 17.
One of the pieces is the European premiere of Siberian Tales, choreographed by top dancer Vladimir Varnova and twice winner of Russia’s prestigious Golden Mask Award.
London Royal Ballet School’s director Harriet Pickering said: “Vladimir likes the ethos of the School. We are very inclusive and he recognises that the students are hard working. We are honoured that he thinks our standards are high enough to merit him getting on a plane from Russia and coming over here to work with us.”
The second is the rarely performed, classical ballet Paquita. Both pieces will be accompanied by the Orchestra of St Paul’s.
