Fire started in pram contain twin girls
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fire started in a pram containing twin girls.
At around 6.50pm on Monday (October 22), a woman was walking in York Road, Battersea, pushing her daughters in a Buggaboo pram.
The woman heard a “whizzing noise” and looked up to see a lit object flying over her head and starting a fire in the pram.
The woman grabbed one of the children and a passer-by grabbed the other.
Neither child was injured in the incident and the fire fizzled out.
Anyone with information should call Wandsworth Police on 020 3276 2583 or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
