A new cafe has been designed to reflect the Putney stretch of the River Thames.
BB's Coffee and Muffins, which is set to open in the Putney Exchange next week, commissioned designer Mark Lawson Bell to create their interior.
Mr Lawson Bell, designer of Sketch in central London, took inspiration by the river, water and Putney.
He has suspended 1,000 drinking straws from the ceiling, with parts of the furniture also hanging from the ceiling.
Mr Bell has also created a sound instillation in the toilet playing sounds of water and the shipping forecast.
He said: "What I like to do with a store is look at the local environment. I have loved water since I was a child, I used to want to be a naturalist.
"In Putney ,so close to the river, is wonderful. The instillation of straws on the ceiling reflects the bend in the river between Putney and Chelsea."
Mr Bell is officially opening the cafe on November 2 at 11am, which is located opposite Waitrose in the shopping centre.
A children's craft event is also taking place from with a face painter and jazz singer.
