X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger performed in the UK's first Twitter dress at Battersea Power Station on Saturday.

The Pussycat Doll paraded the dress which was made from eight metres of French silk chiffon, laden with over 500 Swarovski crystals and more than 2,000 LED lights, and spelled out Tweets sent in by fans in real time throughout the evening.

The girlfriend of British Formula One star Lewis Hamilton was in town to promote the launch of the Everything Everywhere (EE) 4G mobile phone network.

After proudly wearing the Twitter dress Scherzinger said: "It was amazing to wear the UK’s first ever Twitter dress. It’s what you’d call getting up close and very personal with your fans - literally."

The singer was not the only thing to be illuminated on the night as the power station itself had the EE 4G logo projected on to it as part of the promotion.
