A teenager has admitted manslaughter after a man was found stabbed to death in a council estate.

Chukwurunim Dexter Ozour, 19, of Glebe Path, Mitcham, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Mahad Mohammed at the Old Bailey yesterday.

Mr Mohammed, of Sporle Court, Battersea, was found with stab wounds outside Pennethorne House, in Winstanley Road, on June 22 last year.

The 20-year-old victim was discovered lying in a pool of his own blood by neighbours and was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem found he suffered four stab wounds to his back, hip, chest and neck.

Neighbours in the estate were woken by the sounds of shouting and his cries for help in Somalian.

The Old Bailey heard before his death Mr Mohammed was at a bar in Streatham with his brother, with the pair stopping at a convenience store to buy cigarettes.

It appeared Mr Mohammed met a group of people outside the shop and he agreed to meet up with a man named Jermaine Sawyers.

Mr Mohammed dropped his brother at home and drove his Audi to the Winstanley Estate, where a short time after he was stabbed to death.

A murder investigation was launched, with police identifying the defendants through CCTV footage.

Earlier this year two men were given life sentences for his murder.

Jermaine Sawyers, 19, and Cori Lindsey, 18, both of no fixed address, were found guilty following a trial at the Old Bailey.

Sawyers was given life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years. Lindsey was given life imprisonment with a minimum of 14-and-a-half years.

A third teenager, Omar Harrison, 19, of Kenmore Road, Harrow, was also given nine years for manslaughter.

Ozour will be sentenced on November 22 at the Old Bailey.
