Bargain hunters were queuing up outside a supermarket this morning to stockpile on reduced wine.
Co-op, in Mitcham Road, Tooting, is set to close on Saturday and has slashed prices to get rid of stock.
Wine enthusiasts were at the store at 8.30am hauling in their favourite bottles of red, white and rose vino.
Philippa Sitters, 25, who works in publishing, said: "Half the shop was already empty, but the remaining shelves were crowded.
"There was someone dealing out orange discount stickers, customers were queuing up with unlabelled items for him to discount. It was great."
Twitter users were also getting excited about the offers, with some people even threatening to take a day off work.
Tooting Insider wrote: "Booze clearance at Tooting Co-op ahead of closing this weekend. All bottles of wine £2. Going fast."
