A football-mad father and son travelled to Turin for last Wednesday’s Juventus v Chelsea Champions League match on a private jet with the entire team.
Mark Handford, 44, from Fieldhouse Road, Balham and his father Jeffrey, won the trip in a national newspaper competition.
As guests of Samsung, official sponsors of Chelsea FC, the Handford’s watched Chelsea train the day before the match and met the squad.
Mr Handford Jnr said: “The trip, from checking in at Gatwick airport to the return flight home, was a truly fantastic experience. My father and I will always treasure it.
“Unfortunately my favourite player Frank Lampard was injured and unable to make the trip. But it was great to see players who I believe will become future Chelsea legends – Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar in particular.”
Sadly the Blues lost the match 3-0 and the club’s billionaire owner Russian Roman Abramovich sacked manager Roberto Di Matteo just hours after the game.
