Bins set on fire along Clapham High Street
Bins were set on fire last night along a busy high street.
Fire crews were called to Clapham High Street just after 11pm.
One fire engine attended the scene and firefighters took about 10 minutes to put the flames out.
The incident is being treated as suspicious with the arsonist fleeing the scene by the time emergency services arrived.
A spokesperson for the fire brigade said: "It appeared someone was carrying on the partying from new year setting fire to rubbish bins down the high street.
"No-one was injured or anything like that."
