Tributes have been paid to a scooter driver who died in a crash last week.

Sanjay Vadher, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision on Thursday in Sutherland Grove, Southfields.

It is believed the incident took place at 11.30am at the junction of Sutherland Grove and Granville Road, close to St Cecilia's School.

Candles, flowers and messages from family and friends have been left at the scene.

A message written by his children Neel and Davina said: "Dear dad we will miss you loads and you will always be in our hearts forever."

His partner also wrote: "You didn't get to fulfil your dreams. Sheetal, your soul mate."

Friends have been posting their respects on social networking websites such as Facebook.

A message read: "To lose Sanj so soon and at such a young age has brought shock to us all.

"Such a great guy will be remembered at the club for the smile and happiness he brought to us all."

Sutherland Grove marks the start of a quiet residential area between West Hill and Augustus Road.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service (LAS) said: "We were called to Sutherland Grove just before 11.30am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcyclist.

"We sent a single responder, a car and an ambulance to the scene.

"Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene."

Since the accident neighbours in the area have called for improved road safety measures, with drivers regularly using the route to avoid the A3.
