TWO people have died when a helicopter crashed into a crane in Vauxhall, central London, and cartwheeled to the ground.
The stricken aircraft exploded into flames after hitting the crane, on top of a tower block by the Thames, before crashing into a street during rush hour.
Burning wreckage and aviation fuel covered the road as witnesses reported seeing cars on fire and hearing people screaming.
The Met Police said two people died at the scene and two had been taken to hospital.

A new word form the BBC reporting at the scene "unget-toable".
What an awful thing to happen, and my sympathies go out to all of those who have been affected.

Yes it sad some people have died and some are hurt. But that goes with out saying. But if you're of that type that needs post after post about sympathies to reassure your own insecurities then you ain't getting that from me. Talk to your shrink about it.
I'm not one for leaving online sympathies, I leave that for moronic plebs. My sympathies are private.
The rolling reporting of this accident is atrocious, substandard and dame right embarrassing.
Heard on BBC news earlier..
'So you see helicopters here often as the heliport is local?'
'Yes, we get them often here..'
'Have you seen the actual helicopter that crashed this morning here before?'
Cretin.
Hundreds of hours of rolling news coverage and millions of words written about this event, summarised below:
The helicopter flew into the crane because he didn't see it in the fog.
