Firefighters rescue bank cleaner left trapped after powercut
Firefighters rescued a cleaner left trapped in a Wandsworth bank after a power cut last night.
The crew from Wandsworth fire station were called to the bank at Southside Shopping Centre at about 10.30pm last night.
The woman in her 50’s had already been stuck inside the branch for an hour, when she was rescued.
Firefighters used equipment usually used to cut people out of cars, to lift up the shutters at the front of the branch and allow a colleague with keys access to open the door.
The woman was uninjured in the incident.
