Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a lorry.
The incident took place just before 4pm on Thursday when a lorry struck a pedestrian outside Balham station, in Balham High Road.
A man in his 30's was pronounced dead at the scene, with a post-mortem examination held today giving the cause of death as multiple injuries.
The lorry driver stopped at the scene, and there have been no arrests.
Police have said they believe they know the identity of the man, but await formal identification.
An inquest was opened and adjourned today at Westminster Coroners Court.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Hampton are investigating and witnesses can call them on 020 8941 9011
