Australian's gathered to celebrate their heritage and raise money for people affected by bush fires.

Business owners and musicians from down under joined forces to celebrate Australia Day, in Wessex House, St Johns Hill, Battersea, on Saturday.

The venue was transformed into an Aussie themed games room, with a pie eating competition, bikini contest and a washboard stomach contest.

There was also a meat tray raffle and prizes in a bid to increase the fund raising total.

Triple J Hottest 100 provided the soundtrack for the day, while there was a piano and other Aussie bands.

The money raised was donated to the Australian Red Cross, to help people affected by bush fires sweeping the country.
