More than 600 swimmers braved sub-zero temperatures to participate in the UK Cold Water Swimming Championships.
The annual event saw participants take on the challenge of relays, a freestyle dash and a 450 metre endurance challenge at Tooting Bec Lido.
There was also a sauna, hot tubs and mulled wine to help the nippy dippers warm up after breaking the ice.
A crowd of about 800 spectators including comedienne Jo Brand turned up to cheer them on and offer some extra warmth.
Some participants adorned hats and fancy dress, while others chose to wear only a pair of swimming trunks.
It was the fifth year of the annual championship which takes place in the largest unheated fresh water pool in the UK.
