Estate Agents raises £15k for homeless charities
12:00pm Saturday 2nd February 2013 in News
A Putney estate agent firm has donated £15,734 to a homeless charity Andrews Estate Agents raised money by holding coffee mornings, golf and football tournaments and curry nights as well as a 24-hour spin challenge and a sponsored static bike ride.
The money will go to the Estate Agency Foundation, who are dedicated to combatting the causes of homelessness, with charities such as Shelter, St Mungo’s and Broadway set to benefit.
Most of the money was raised through a series of branch events in December, and it represents more than 10 per cent of the Foundation’s £150,000 target for 2012.
Nick Wright, financial director at Andrews & Partners, said: "It was wonderful to see our Putney staff making such an effort to raise money, and we also need to thank customers and locals who got involved. explains.
"As estate agents it is appropriate that we play a part in combatting the causes of homelessness, as well as helping people who don’t have a home."
