A woman was mugged and threatened while she was waiting for friends on a street corner.

It took place last Friday at about 7pm in the junction of Bedford Hill and Fontenoy Road, Balham.

The woman noticed a man who was stood opposite as she turned into Bedford Hill.

He ran up behind her, placing his hand over her mouth and said he would cut her throat if she screamed, while taking her handbag.

She screamed and the attacker made off with the bag.

It contained a money, a driving licence, oyster card and some money.

No arrests have been made yet.
