A second man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van last week.

A cash delivery driver was attacked and suffered facial injuries outside the Co-op store in Tattenham Crescent, Epsom, on Wednesday morning.

Early the next morning a man in his 40s was arrested, at an address in the Nine Elms area of Battersea, in connection with the robbery. He has been released on bail until March.

Another man, in his 20s, was arrested in Southwark yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a firearm.

He has also been bailed until March.
