Seven-year-old Ishan Faisal completes Battersea Park mini-marathon for disadvantaged kids

A seven-year-old boy has completed a mini marathon to raise funds for disadvantaged children.
Ishan Feisal, a pupil at Newton Prep School, was the youngest runner to complete the 2k mini marathon in Battersea Park on Sunday.
The youngster read about the event several months ago and decided to sign up in a bid to raise money for charity Wow Kids.
He trained by going on fast walks to school with his dad, culminating in a run every weekend around Battersea Lake.
Ishan, of Battersea, almost gave up the race after suffering from pain in his legs but decided to push on for the cause.
The money, £403, will go towards helping disadvantaged children receive opportunities people take for granted, such as trips to farms or funding for extra curricular activities.
It is a new charity set up by mother's group Women of Wandsworth (WoW Mums).
