7:40am Sunday 3rd March 2013 in News
School children in Wandsworth could benefit from funding of up to £2m given to an emotional and mental health charity by the Private Equity Foundation.
National charity Place2Be works in 11 primary schools in Wandsworth supporting 4,142 children and helps youngsters to make the big step from primary to secondary school.
The charity also provides support for parents, carers and teachers. Stephen Adams-Langley, Place2Be’s regional manager for London, said: “We are reminded everyday, through our current work in secondary schools, of many children’s real and urgent need to be supported through their transition from primary to secondary school.”
