Police appeal hit and run leaves pedestrian with "serious" injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run in Clapham which left a pedestrian badly injured.
The incident happened near the junction of Poynders Road and Clarence Avenue on Thursday (February 28) at about 7.45pm.
The driver of a blue Mini failed to stop at the scene and the pedestrian was taken to a south London hospital with head injuries.
He the man, believed to be in his 40s, remains in a serious condition.
The vehicle was spotted later that evening in Helby Road, also in Clapham, and a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
She has been bailed pending further enquiries.
The man remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Mini after the incident, particularly when it was parked.
