Youngsters to quiz political leaders in Question Time style debate
3:00pm Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News
Young people are invited to take part in a Question Time-style event to quiz Wandsworth's police chief and political leaders.
Youth Voice Question Time is open to 11-19 year olds that live or go to school in the borough and is the first of a series of feedback sessions building on the success of the Youth Momentum Conference last year.
Young people will have the chance to quiz a panel of senior decision makers, including top councillors and police officers, about any issue that concerns them in a format similar to the BBC Question Time show.
They will get help to prepare their questions and polish their questioning techniques.
The panel will include: Councillor Ravi Govindia - leader of the council Councillor Kathy Tracey - cabinet member for children's services Councillor Rex Osborn - leader of the opposition David Chinchen - borough police commander Marc Dataro - chairman of the Wandsworth Youth Council Youth Voice Question Time will be at the Town Hall on March 21 from 5pm to 7.30pm.
