Upper Tooting Road closed following road traffic accident

A high street has been taped off by police following a road traffic accident.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at the junction of Moffat Road and Kellino Street, Tooting, at 3pm this afternoon.

Upper Tooting Road had been taped off in both directions.

Bus routes 155, 219 and 355 are on diversion, while traffic has been affected.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Upper Tooting Road.

"We sent one ambulance crew to the scene. Staff treated a man in his 40s. He was taken to St George's Hospital."
