Police have launched an appeal to find an 83-year-old man.

Sarbans Matharu has been missing from his home in Southcroft Road, Tooting, since 9.30am yesterday.

The pensioner, who suffers from dementia and diabetes, was wearing a Freedom pass around his neck with information about his conditions.

Checks reveal his pass was last used on a 136 bus heading to Grove Park just before 1am, in Bellingham Road, Lewisham.

It has not been used since, with police growing concerned for his safety following the bad weather.

Mr Matharu is Asian, 5 foot 8 and was wearing a black woolly hat, navy cardigan with black track suit bottoms.

He is known to frequent KFC in Tooting, while it could be possible he may visit a KFC or other fast food restaurant in South London.

Mr Matharu has been found in Sutton, Earlsfield and Banstead when he has gone missing on previous occasions.
