A range of free workshops and classes are being organised by the Wandsworth Council’s Learning Works programme for the next two weeks, starting today.
The programme aims to teach the borough's residents skills for people of all ages and backgrounds, such as first aid, computing and confidence building.
Wandsworth Council has worked together with various organisations from the borough to put together the workshop and classes.
The first week is Adult Learners’ Week and will go on until May 24.
This week will be offering a range of activities such as a healthy eating workshop and a self-defence class for women.
From May 27 the National Family Week begins offering workshops for the whole family until June 2.
Councillor Kathy Tracey, the Wandsworth’s executive member for education, said: "Along with our educational partners in the borough, we want to create as many opportunities as possible for people to learn a new skill, take a step towards a new career - or simply have fun with friends and family by trying something different."
