The Wandsworth Town Post Office branch has closed, with a permanent site not yet found.

Wandsworth Crown Post Office, in Arndale Walk, Wandsworth, will run from two temporary sites from next Monday, July 29.

The branch will run from Wandsworth High Street and Southside shopping centre, while the council is helping Post Office ltd find a permanent site.

Space restrictions in the temporary sites mean there will not be an ATM, Post and Go, AEI machine to carry out DVLA photocard renewal transactions or a financial services desk.

There will be seven serving positions across the two sites and the majority of services will continue to be available.

Councillor James Cousins, cabinet member for economic development and business partnerships, said: "This Post Office is a vital resource for many of the town’s residents and businesses, and it is crucial that a larger permanent site is identified so the services not offered in the temporary offices can be brought back and normal service can resume.

"The council has pledged to help Post Office Ltd locate a suitable new office and in doing so limit any inconvenience experienced by customers in

Wandsworth as a result of this temporary arrangement."

The Wandsworth Crown Post office branch closed to allow the redevelopment of Arndale Walk.
