A man and a woman from Tadworth have been re-bailed in connection with an armed robbery of a cash box containing £45,000.

A cash delivery worker is thought to have been pistol-whipped during the robbery outside a Co-op in Tattenham Corner on January 30.

The Tadworth pair in their 30s were arrested in June on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and have been re-bailed until September.

Two men and a woman, from Battersea, and a Brixton man also remain on bail in connection with the robbery.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Rymarz said: “This remains very much a live investigation into a violent robbery on a cash delivery driver but it is also a very complex case which has required many enquiries to be carried out by detectives.”

“I would like to thank all those people who have assisted with the investigation to date but continue to urge anyone with information which could help the case to make contact with police.”

Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting Operation Jadeite, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
