Two of the men arrested in connection with the death of traffic officer PC Andrew Duncan have been charged with unrelated offences including possession of a firearm.

Layne Campbell Chambers, 19, of Chestnut Close, Carshalton, and Danny Back, 23, of Crispin Crescent, Croydon, were arrested on Monday in connection with the hit-and-run on PC Duncan in Reigate Avenue, Sutton, in the early hours of Friday morning.

They have since been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply and are due to appear in front of Camberwell Green magistrates today.

They have not been charged in relation to the hit-and-run that resulted in PC Duncan, from East Molesey, dying on Sunday.

Gary Cody, 25, of Holland Road, South Norwood, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and driving without insurance in relation to PC Duncan's death and will appear at Kingston Crown Court on October 7.
