Man in his 20s discovered dead at address in Battersea
A man in his early 20s was found dead at a house by police officers last night.
Police officers discovered the body in Lavender Sweep, Battersea, while conducting a welfare check just before 9pm last night.
A second man was also found at the address suffering from neck injuries.
He was taken to a south London hospital by an ambulance crew where he remains in a stable condition.
Firefighters were called to force entry into the property.
Police are yet to confirm whether the incident was a murder.
Next of kin have been informed, while formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled to identify the cause of death.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed.
Enquiries continue, while no arrests have yet been made.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called last night just after 9pm on Lavender Sweep.
“We sent a duty officer, two ambo crews and london air ambulance (by car) to the scene.
“Our staff treated one patient, a man, before taking him to hospital.“
“There was also a second patient, a man, who was found dead at the scene.”
