An aspiring pop star girl is just one song away from performing at the O2 Arena.
Ryane Winning, 17, from Wimbledon, will be joined at the Open Mic area finals by contestants from Southern England after she dazzled the judges at the regional showcase where she competed against 18 singers.
The former Ricards Lodge High School pupil, now at Nescot College in Epsom, will compete against singers, rappers and vocalists in the area showcase in Portsmouth on November 30.
She began singing in her school choir at Dundonald Primary school and has since performed at the Wimbledon Village Fair.
She said: "I had 26 family members come to support me in the last round, so hopefully they will come along to Portsmouth with me too, along with t- shirts, banners and flags."
She will have just over three minutes to wow the audience and judges for chance to compete in the finals within the 02 arena dome.
The talent competition is run by Future Music who are behind such acts as the X-Factor’s Lucy Spraggan and Jahmene Douglas.
If she wins the competition she will be following in the footsteps of previous Open Mic UK winner Birdy who had the breakthrough debut single Skinny Love.
The winner of the competition will have the chance to be signed to a record deal, followed by the opportunity to tour across the UK and a £5000 cash prize.
