CCTV installed at all 73 First Capital Connect stations

Wandsworth Guardian: You're now never far from a camera at a train station You're now never far from a camera at a train station

CCTV is now installed in all First Capital Connect (FCC) stations after a £700,000 investment to improve security.

All 73 stations, including those on the Wimbledon loop via Balham, Streatham, Tooting, Morden, and Sutton, can now be observed from FCCs security centre in Edmonton.

Tony Holland, FCC’s Crime Prevention Manager said: "This is a massive milestone for First Capital Connect and it is a fantastic achievement.

"100 per cent coverage allows us to monitor every station from our centre in Edmonton as well as giving our passengers a stronger sense of personal security."

Why not add the feed from the cameras terminating in the Edmonton Centre to the existing array of railway webcams which greatly assist the railway hobby for the legion of dedicated anoraks and gricers. We can already track all the trains from out home computer seats, would be even better to be able to see the trains pass through.
