Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was brutally attacked for gold rings.

The 64-year-old victim needed hospital treatment for a head injury following the robbery in Anhalt Road, Battersea, on November 8.

Two men forced their way into the address at about 5.45pm and were met by the woman.

One of the suspects covered her mouth to stop her from screaming and demanded she hand over her rings.

When they realised the victims husband was inside the property she was dragged outside, causing her to fall against a brick pillar.

They then made off towards Parkgate Road, Battersea.

She suffered from a head injury and required five stitches, as well as a wound to the side of her right eye.

One of the suspects was a black man, aged 18-20 years old and about 6ft 3ins.

The other man was mixed race with light skin, aged between 16-18 years old and about 5ft 6ins.

They were both wearing a blue hooded top, with a dark scarves worn across their faces.
