Trinity Hospice raised £33,000 during their annual Light up a Life carol service.
The hospice brought members of the community together last Thursday, with a beautiful service dedicated to the memory of loved ones who have passed away.
The service, which is held annually by the charity, took place on Thursday 12th December, at Holy Trinity Church, Clapham.
Members of the community gathered for a candle lit procession to Holy Trinity Church following the official switch-on of the lights decorating the Hospice’s Christmas tree.
There were more than 1,000 attendees, including celebrity supporters, journalist Huw Edwards and actress Prunella Scales, who both gave readings during the service.
A collection was taken in an appeal for support towards the vital work of Trinity’s nurses.
Trinity raised £33,000 which is enough to fund the post of a Trinity at Home nurse for almost eight months.
A Trinity spokesperson said: "Trinity would like to thank St Mary’s Roman Catholic School choir and Pegasus choir for their fantastic performances on the evening, and everyone who attended or donated to this vital appeal."
