Small businesses have won awards after receiving votes from customers.

The awards, which took place in Bar 366, in Garratt Lane, Earlsfield, were handed out to the top ten most-voted shops in Earlsfield.

Impact Hair and Beauty, in Garratt Lane, Earlsfield, was named the favourite business.

The awards follow on from the Love Your Local initiative, set up by Conservative election candidate Dan Watkins.

It aimed to reconnect shoppers with independent stores by getting them to nominate their favourite shops, restaurants and pubs.

Customer comments were also posted on the Love Your Local website to share excellent customer service they received.

Rod Turner, owner of Impact Hair and Beauty, said: "After a few weeks most of Earlsfield’s shops had one of the distinctive blue and white posters up in their window, so I’m not surprised it got such a good response.

"I’m really pleased for my team at Impact that so many of our customers recognised the great service we try to provide every day."

Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Angela Graham, attended the event as well as MP Justine Greening.
