A school choir was joined on stage by Olivia Colman, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and RSVP Voices.

Members of the Burntwood School Choir, in Burntwood Lane Earlsfield, performed numbers for The Snow Queen and The Griffin and the Grail at the Cadogan Hall, Chelsea.

Adrian Sutton, creator of the music for War Horse, presented the world premiere of The Griffin and The Grail.

Jon James was libretto while BAFTA winner Olivia Colman narrated the performance, which tells the tale of two youngsters who travel back in time to the realm of King Arthur.

The second opera told the story of The Snow Queen, which follows Gerda on her journey to rescue Kay from the clutches of the Snow Queen.

Burntwood School Girls' Choir first performed the opera at the world premiere in the Barbican back in 2003.

They were invited to take part by composer Paul K Joyce after he heard them performing at a school concert.

All profits were donated to charity LAM Action, which supports women with lung conditions.
