A man has been charged after biting the bicep of a woman police officer.

Lorenz Sattari, 32, of Fontarbia Road, Battersea, was arrested and charged for assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a police officer on January 1.

He was also charged with common assault.

The incident took place after police were called out to reports of domestic violence.

The 30-year-old officer was taken to a West London Hospital for treatment.

She has since been released.

Mr Sattari has been bailed to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on January 15.
