Wandsworth Council’s Work Match recruitment team will host its next jobs fair at the end of this month.
The event will showcase a wide range of local employment and training opportunities as well as specialist career advice and information on managing personal finances.
More than 20 employers, training providers, community organisations, business support providers and council services will be taking part in the jobs fair including the public health team.
There will be workshops and one-to-one sessions focusing on how to start your own business, effective CV writing and interview skills.
Councillor James Cousins, cabinet member for economic development and business partnerships, said: "More than 400 local people came to our first jobs fair in Battersea and many have gone on to secure work or start training for a new role. "The Roehampton fair will bring dozens of employers and support services together to help local people find work, start their own business and make the most of their money."
Organisations taking part include: Asda, Astins Dry Lining, Citizens Advice Bureau, DC Leisure, London Square, Natwest, Putney Plaza, South Thames College, Waitrose, Wandsworth Council HR, Wandsworth Council Benefits Service, Wandsworth Plus Credit Union, Wandsworth Work Match and youth groups.
The event runs from 10am-3pm on Thursday, January 30, at the Roehampton Sport and Fitness Centre, in Laverstoke Gardens.
