Escaped murderer thought to be in Richmond captured by police in Wandsworth

An escaped murderer who was serving a life sentence has been captured.

Kent Police issued an appeal to trace John Murch, 52, after he was admitted on August 31 to Medway Maritime hospital from Stamford Hill Prison, Gillingham, and escaped the following day.

Police thought who he may have been in Richmond or Sheen, but he was arrested on Saturday, January 4, in Wandsworth.
