Nearly 1,000 Muslim's and non-Muslims came together to celebrate the birth of the Prophet of Islam.
The annual Eid Milad Un Nabi event took place in Tooting Leisure Centre, in Greaves Place, Tooting, on Saturday.
A holy relic, containing a lock of hair believed to be from the Prophet Muhammad, was the highlight of the celebration for worshippers.
Muslims believe the hair has continued to grow for 1400 years and casts no shadow.
VIP guests include Lord Mohamed Sheikh, Prince Mohsin Ali Khan of Hyderabad and police chief commander Mak Chishty.
Neurosurgeon Dr Amina Coxon, who converted to Islam, cut the celebration cake.
Performances were given by international Sufi music performers from the UK, Asia and Turkey, with the SuMA Madrassa Kids invited to perform at the House of Lords by Lord Sheikh.
The event was organised to reflect the diverse communities in Wandsworth and was open to everyone.
