NOTE: The criminal case against both men was dropped after this story was written but before the trial began, clearing them off any criminal charges.
Two men will go on trial in April accused of stealing a flat screen television belonging to a magistrates’ court.
Mawja-beya Mulopo, 25, from Cambridge Gardens, Kingston, and Henry Agwuegbo, 24, from Albion Avenue, Wandsworth, deny stealing the Samsung TV from 23 Cambridge Road, Kingston, on November 15 last year.
The address is registered as a Ladbrokes betting shop, but it is not clear why a television belonging to South West Magistrates' Court in Lavender Hill was there.
Both men will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court for trial on April 24.
