Wandsworth Council leader Ravi Govindia has offered his congratulations to a Battersea based eco-company that has been awarded a prestigious Royal Warrant by Prince Charles.

The Prince of Wales has awarded the warrant to Delphis Eco, which is a leading manufacturer of environmentally-friendly cleaning products.

The decision to award the warrant is made by The Lord Chamberlain’s office and comes after a company has delivered consistently high-quality services to one or more of the Royal Households for a minimum period of five years.

Royal Warrants have always been regarded as demonstrating service, quality and excellence and are highly prized.

The award means that Delphis Eco has earned the honour of displaying the Prince’s Royal Coat of Arms in recognition of its service.

Councillor Govindia said: "This is a superb achievement by this local company and I would like to offer its staff my congratulations on their success.

"Very few companies are awarded such a coveted prize. It shows a real commitment to quality and innovation.

"I’m sure this will be a great boost to the company’s fortunes. If Delphis Eco is able to expand this will undoubtedly be good new for local job seekers and for both the local and national economy."

The company’s chief exectutive Mark Jankovich said: "We are delighted that the team’s hard work and dedication to providing quality environmentally-friendly products has been recognised in this way.

"We are honoured that the Prince of Wales would choose to bestow this award on us and hope that it will encourage other people to select more environmentally friendly products.

"We are also proud to join an elite group that is able to show the Royal Arms in recognition of their commitment to the highest standards of service, quality and excellence. It is truly a great start to the year."

The company’s commitment to sustainable cleaning products has seen it become the first chemical company to partner with Keep Britain Tidy and Eco-Schools, The Sustainable Restaurant Association and the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
