Globetrotting Putney MP Justine Greening is to hold a public meeting this evening about a third runway at Heathrow.
The Minister for International Develpment, a staunch opponent of a new runway, will be joined on the platform by Wandsworth Council leader Ravi Govinda and John Stewart, the chair of HACAN (Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise).
Mr Stewart said: "This meeting will not just show the depth of opposition there is to a third runway but will act as a timely reminder that the last Government’s attempt to build one ended in failure.
"We see no reason why the third runway has become any more politically deliverable."
Ms Greening was formerly Transport Secretary before a cabinet reshuffle move dher to her current post.
The meeting is tonight at St Mary’s Church, Putney High Street, for a 7.30 pm start.
