People worried about flooding are urged to sign up for flood alerts and get themselves and vulnerable neighbours prepared.
There have been no flood alerts issued in Wandsworth today but further rain is expected later this week.
Particularly this evening and Wednesday when the Met Office is forecasting 16 hours straight of heavy rain starting at approximately 3am and lasting until 7pm tomorrow.
People living near the Thames, especially along Putney Embankment, are advised to ensure they are signed up for Environment Agency flood alerts.
Signs were erected along the embankment to warn of frequent flooding there, and most residents are expected to already be prepared.
At present there is nothing to suggest the Wandle or Graveney rivers or Beverley Brook will overflow - they are currently running at low- to mid-level.
However, people living near them are also encouraged to sign up for alerts in case the situation changes.
If you have experienced any problem with flooding, let Wandsworth Council know to help with future flood risk planning. Email dtshighwaysconsultancy@wandsworth.gov.uk.
