Young beatboxing brothers are celebrating after winning a top award in Wandsworth.
Malachi and Reuben Alfred Lecky (AKA Maverick & Malachi), have won the Wandsworth Young Performer of the Year 2014 award, the second year members of the Battersea Arts Centre Beatbox Academy have won it.
The award is run by Industry In The Streets, a creative youth agency that promotes ethical enterprise, education and innovation.
Fusion, the managing director of Industry In The Streets, said: "Industry In The Streets is very happy for the winners Maverick & Malachi. "The brothers really seized the moment.
"The combination of creativity, charisma and conscious lyricism won the hearts of the audience and judges alike.
"We look forward to supporting their professional development and are very proud to add them to the line-up for our forthcoming True Skool Showcase."
The True Skool Showcase will be held on Monday March 3 at the Rich Mix in Bethnal Green, London.
The Beatbox Academy is open to young beatboxers, vocalists and MC’s aged 13 to 21 years-old.
