An 11-year-old girl was taken to hospital with spinal injuries following a road traffic collision.

Firefighters and the London Ambulance Service were called to the three car pile up in York Road, Battersea, at 12.30am today.

The cars collided into the rear end of each other.

Fire crews cut off the roof of a Ford Focus to get to the young girl.

She was taken to hospital in an ambulance accompanied by her father.

Hope the young girl is not too badly injured and recovers.
Isn't it time something was done about widening York Road - it is a main thoroughfare of London - instead of this non stop building of luxury flats and shops.
