Sixth form asks police to speak to unruly student who turns out to be wanted for robbery

A sixth form college contacted the police to speak to an unruly student who it transpired was wanted for robbery.

Staff at St Francis Xavier College contacted the Safer Schools Team in relation to a student causing them some concern.

After carrying out checks it emerged he was wanted in connection with a robbery in South East London, in December.

The 18-year-old, from Lambeth, was arrested and since been charged with stealing a laptop from a restaurant.

He was bailed to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court today.
