Pregnant women in Wandsworth have one of the highest rates of flu vaccinations in London.
Staff at St George’s Hospital, in Tooting, are pleased after a new report revealed Wandsworth’s mums-to-be are have been heeding their advice.
The NHS Commissioning Board report shows uptake in the borough is currently more than 7 per cent higher than the national average.
Lead midwife and matron, Maria Brown, said: "We have worked hard to take away any worries women have about the flu jab and to talk them through the benefits."
