Distressed family plea for help finding missing Putney man Marc Hutton
A distressed father is appealing for help finding his son who disappeared following surgery.
Today the father of Marc Hutton, a 28-year-old accountant from Putney, has released a statement urging people to help trace his son.
The last known sighting of Marc was by friends at about 11pm at his home in Sefton Road, on Friday, February 28.
His family have described his disappearance as out of character and believe he may have suffered an adverse reaction to the anaesthetic used during minor knee surgery which took place on February 19.
Phil Hutton, Marc's father, said: "As a family we are extremely concerned about Marc following his surgery almost a month ago.
"It is out of character for him to disappear like this and we believe that he may have suffered a reaction to the anaesthetic. We urgently require the help of the public in tracing him. Anyone with any information that can help us find our son is asked to contact the police."
As the days pass Marc’s family are becoming extremely concerned. There is no indication that he has used public transport or accessed his bank accounts since he disappeared.
He is described as a white, 6 ft tall and has short dark hair and may be using crutches.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Foley said: "It is almost two weeks since Marc disappeared from his home address in Putney and detectives from Wandsworth are growing increasingly concerned about his welfare.
"This is a distressing time for Marc's family, so I am appealing to the public to assist us by providing any information as to his whereabouts that will take us closer to tracing him."
Anyone who may have seen Marc is asked to call Wandsworth police station via 101, quoting ref 14MIS007050.
