A middle-aged woman was awoken by three youths trying to break into her house.

Police are investigating after the woman discovered three young men aged between 19 and 20 years old trying to open the rear patio window of her home in Seely Road, Tooting on Wednesday at 4.40pm.

Police said she had been asleep in her home when she heard someone knocking on the front door.

She then heard a noise coming from the rear of the house and got up to investigate.

She discovered three white men, aged 18 to 20 years old, trying to open her rear patio window.

All three suspects made off over garden fences.

Police were called and searched the area, but were unable to find the men.

No property was stolen as they had not been able to gain access after the incident on Wednesday, March 12.
