Tooting residents are knit happy about the number of betting shops in the area, or at least sew it seams.
This unusual banner was seen pinned up on railings between the High Street and Garratt Lane.
On Tuesday March 4 we reported a 23rd bookies could be set to open in Tooting, despite huge public opposition to the plans.
The new Coral store will be on Mitcham Lane in the former H Samuels building.
The increasing number of betting shops has led local businesses to launch the Save Our High Street campaign.
MP for Tooting Sadiq Khan said: "Forget knit one purl one, hopefully with this sign the person responsible will knit one, save one.
"There are easier ways to join the campaign though. Anyone can take action by signing our petition at www.sadiqkhan.org.uk."
If you know who knitted the sign please call 0208 722 6343, or email newsdesk@wandsworthguardian.co.uk
